Allied instead of indifferent

Workshop shows how allyship succeeds in everyday life

9th October 2026, 05.00pm – 08.30pm til 10th October 2026, 10.00am – 01:30pm
Hangar 21, Charles-Lindbergh-Ring 10, 32756 Detmold

How can we actively support other people who are disadvantaged because of their origin, skin color, gender, or other characteristics? This question is at the heart of an interactive workshop on the topic of “allyship” — roughly translated as “being an ally.”

Respectful coexistence doesn’t happen on its own — it comes about through the actions of each individual. This is exactly where the workshop comes in: participants learn how to recognize unconscious biases in themselves, support others effectively, and intervene with courage and a clear stance even in difficult situations.

The starting point is examining one’s own privileges and confronting discrimination. Building on this, participants jointly develop concrete courses of action they can apply in everyday life or in the workplace to support people who experience disadvantage.

The workshop is led by Michelle Bray, who works as a consultant for companies on developing and implementing measures in the areas of awareness, diversity, and empowerment.

The number of participants is limited. Participation is only possible with prior free registration at pretix.eu. The number of participants is limited.
