The new Music Compass showcases the city\u2019s extraordinary musical diversity: for the first time, an interactive map and a searchable directory bring together Detmold\u2019s numerous musical events, venues and ensembles in one place. <\/p>\n\n
Whether it\u2019s early musical education, instrumental and singing lessons, music schools, nurseries and schools with a focus on music, choirs, orchestras, bands, workshops or venues \u2013 the Musikkompass provides a comprehensive overview of the city\u2019s musical landscape. It is aimed at families, music enthusiasts, educational institutions and ensembles \u2013 and at anyone who would like to discover musical activities or make new connections. <\/p>\n\n
The Music Compass was developed as part of the \u201cTalent Development Pilot Project\u201d, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Detmold was selected as a pilot municipality for this project. The aim is to highlight the wide range of opportunities for making, learning and experiencing music \u2013 and to make these more accessible to all citizens. <\/p>\n\n
The Music Compass continues to grow: ensembles, organisations and initiatives that are not yet listed, or that wish to report any changes, are warmly invited to get involved.<\/p>\n\n
